WARBY PARKER | PHILADELPHIA, PA

When the owners of Warby Parker wanted to find a retail spot in Philly, they came with some city knowledge as their business concept was founded over a pint in a Philadelphia bar. Their scouting took them to a storied location–a 1975 building on Walnut Street—the former home to Michelin-rated, world famous restaurant, Le Bec-Fin.  We collaborated with them to build out the stunning site to be consistent with the existing corporate visual identity. We took great effort to highlight the floor to ceiling windows at the façade; install gorgeous, tiled terrazzo flooring; as well as the WP standard dark walnut shelving. We also rebuilt joists in the basement to support the installation of a stairwell. To give it its neighborhood connection, the Philadelphia artist Andy Rementer created an original mural and lens cloth.
