ACS was luckily enough to be involved in this building’s transformation through all construction stages. We worked with the site developer, Asana Partners, to prepare the former warehouse for tenant use by updating and refurbishing the structure. When that work was complete, we then built out the interior space for the new retailer.

The entire east facing side of the building was opened to accommodate a wall of full-length windows ushering in cascades of light into the space. We also prepared the building for a long life by installing an entire new roof. The location of the building offered unique challenges given its proximity to the Charlotte Rail Trail as well as the city’s light rail service, LYNX, but in the end, the finished space proved to be a perfect open, light and airy addition to the South End neighborhood of Charlotte.
