We were trusted by the luxury brand Montblanc to relocate their NYC flagship store to a new Madison Avenue space. We managed the entire process — from the move out of their original location, to preparing a temporary locale, to the ultimate construction of the new boutique– overseeing the many unexpected hurdles an urban relocation can present. Montblanc’s new NYC home needed to reflect not only the prestige of their address, but also the craftmanship and heirloom quality goods synonymous with Montblanc. To celebrate the tradition of the written word and Montblanc’s part in this history, the walls were lined with the largest collection in North America of limited-edition and rare writing instruments. In contrast to these artifacts, a showstopping, modern glass and Swarovski crystal chandelier became the focal point of the space, highlighting the luxurious goods and classic fixtures. The juxtaposition of Montblanc’s history with the contemporary design of the space bridged the accomplished past of this brand to its bright future.
