ACS partnered with Urban Outfitters to open this beauty in Houston, TX’s City Centre. This is the nineteenth collaboration between our two companies and marks a subtle shift in some of the standard UO design elements and store finishes. Our dozens of projects with other URBN brands and the resulting mutual trust, set the stage for this collaboration to unveil the store’s evolved design.

ACS handled the project from start to finish including building systems work that involved upgrades to the electrical and plumbing systems as well as the installation of new HVAC units on the roof. The sales floor features materials that combine raw, industrial materials with polished finishes such as wood flooring and custom millwork. The huge glass panes on multiple walls, and 40 feet ceilings at the apex, bring a lightness to the space that helps to highlight the hand painted, monolithic graphic adorning the upper walls. The result is a store that is undoubtedly familiar to customers but is updated in subtle ways to engage shoppers and enhance their experience.

This store was named Urban Outfitters’ Project of the Year.
