ACS transformed this forgotten structure on Raleigh’s North West Street into the neighborhood bar The Cardinal. Formally home to the Cardinal Cab Dispatch building, the bar tips its cap to the history of the area it serves in a couple of ways. In addition to the name of the establishment alluding to the former tenant of the building, the bar serves hot dogs as its only menu item, a nod to a popular hot dog stand that used to be on the street. This was a complete revamp of the building–from structural modifications to bring it up to code, to the interior details and creation of an outside patron area that have created this area favorite.
