True to brand, ACS and Patagonia restored this Pittsburgh building to its original glory in the city’s Shadyside neighborhood. For our client’s first Pennsylvania location, we made drastic changes to unearth the building’s history and to connect with the recognizable, warm Patagonia aesthetic. The previous tenant had painted nearly every surface of the interior and exterior white, giving the space a cold, hands off feeling. We started by stripping most of the paint, letting the gorgeous, original hardwood floors and masonry work shine. The result is a fitting initiation into the Keystone State.
