WELSH WAREHOUSE | WAKE FOREST, NC

August Construction Solutions worked with developer Atlas Stark, Louis Cherry Architecture and a full engineering team to update a 16,200 square feet warehouse in Wake Forest, NC. ACS prepared the shell building for future tenants with interior and exterior demolition, completion of a new roof, sewer and plumbing updates, slab work, and exterior updates including the grading of the parking lot, building of a retention wall and the construction of an outdoor patio. These updates brought the building up to code and modernized the functionality of the building.

Built in 1962, the warehouse was once a storage facility for agricultural equipment and had been empty for quite some time. This vacancy coupled with the age of the building led to some issues that were addressed and remedied through all stages of renovation. Now, the building has been renamed 525 Warehouse and will be a thriving mixed-use development.

Adaptive reuse is a creative, resourceful way to breathe new life into a building and its surroundings, while bridging to the area’s story and history. The ACS team is proud to have been a part of a project that will encourage further growth and vibrancy in the Wake Forest, NC community.
